Internal Audits

  • IATF 16949
  • ISO 9001
  • ISO 14001

The Luminous Group has a team of RABQSA certified lead auditors experienced in IATF 16949, ISO 9000/9001, AS 9100, ISO 14001, and OHSMS 18001 who are top experts in their field. They very efficiently and effectively plan, conduct and document the audit of a plant/facility’s quality management system against International and/or Customer Specific requirements. This assures robust audits, keeps the plants in compliance with the standard and drives continuous improvement in primary operational metrics.

Clients come to us for audit help for a variety of reasons including:

  • They want a sharp set of outside eyes evaluating and improving their quality system.
  • Our auditors are in the upper tier of experience and effectiveness; many are ASQ Certified.

Quality Engineers or Quality Auditors. Some are ANAB witness auditors of AS 9100 and IATF 16949 certification bodies. All of our auditors have at minimum the same credentials as Certified Body auditors.

  • Our auditors know the standards and the intent of the standards very well and are well practiced in implementation and execution.
  • Clients sometime have trouble keeping their own trained auditors on-board, keeping audits on schedule, or the best auditors are stretched too thin to adequately cover internal audit needs (planning, auditing, documenting, follow-up, and coaching).
  • We’re able to consult and share best practices when we see opportunities for improvement or when managers and employees need clarification as to how to satisfy requirements in the standard. Your registration auditors likely have expertise, but are prohibited from sharing that knowledge when assigned as a registration auditor.
  • Our auditors find more opportunities for improvement, since we are looking with a fresh set of eyes, ask objective questions, look for evidence and don’t assume that things are working as they should.
  • Some internal auditors hesitate to write-up even the most significant findings, as it inherently generates scrutiny and follow-up actions.
  • Our opening meeting and closing meeting with upper management are immensely helpful in terms of getting to the bottom line and resolving indifferences.
  • Often we’re able to have one auditor/consultant revisit a client year after year, so relationships are formed and the auditor has a deeper knowledge of the facility, its processes and its organization. That makes for a more thorough and efficient audit.
  • We offer English-speaking or Spanish-speaking auditors.

Clients that repeatedly invite us back see they are dramatically lowering their costs by fixing system problems early and actually preventing product problems, customer corrective actions, registrar findings and the management costs that are associated with unexpected or catastrophic events.
