PROCESS QUALITY MANAGEMENT (APQP / FMEA / PCP)
The application of Process Quality Management's structured planning process
can ensure that the introduction of a new product,
service or manufacturing process, is done right the first time. Through a
variety of quality principles we help you achieve a consistent, reliable process
at the lowest possible total life cycle cost.
The process begins with an analysis of the desired outcomes. Deliverables and
requirements are defined and a process flow diagram is created. Evaluation of
the flow diagram provides insight into where possible failure modes and risks
exist. Appropriate process controls and error proofing techniques can then be
discussed and recommended. Finally, process controls can be established and
standardized job instructions created to ensure optimal results.
This curriculum will provide participants with the tools to master each stage of
the new initiative development process. Concepts from all phases of the Process
Quality Management philosophy will be discussed including:
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
- Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Error Proofing
- Process Control Plan (PCP)
- Process Flowcharting
