PROCESS CONTROL PLAN (PCP)

The Process Control Plan documents the controls implemented on a particular manufacturing process to ensure the resulting product meets or exceeds expected quality measures. It improves overall quality and productivity by reducing process variation. The PCP considers measurable, controllable product characteristics, gaging, process capabilities, gage capability and controls.

Process Control Plans provide a written summary of the systems used for controlling all product and process characteristics. This workshop will demonstrate the effectiveness of proper characteristic definitions in establishing metrics to measure productivity and product quality. It will show the correlation between the process controls and improved overall quality and productivity through reduced process variation and increased customer satisfaction.

This interactive 1-day workshop goes beyond a simple description of the key features of the Process Control Plan. It is an intensive study of how the PCP fits into the total process quality picture.

It is appropriate for individuals who are directly involved with productivity and quality measures in manufacturing and assembly operations.

A sample interactive exercise allows participants to practice workshop concepts to gain a deeper understanding of the Process Control Plan’s power.
